At this weeks Girl Boss meeting we had the pleasure of having the cofounder of HEROdyssey, Margaret Lim, come and speak to us about her program and their summer fellowship. During the summer fellowship students can spend 8-12 weeks interning in one of three locations; Jakarta, Shanghai, or Bali. While many college students study abroad in Europe, very few venture to Southeast Asia, despite the fact that it is a rapidly growing region with new and exciting opportunities everywhere you look. They are currently accepting Early Action applications (ends December 31st) and they expect an influx of applicants this year because of the locations being offered. You will learn new business models and lifestyles firsthand and be able to stand out in application pools. This is an innovative way to gain not only work experience, but life experience as well.
